It is sited at the edge of a pond, with mountain views visible from all the main living spaces. A covered wraparound porch was incorporated for outdoor comfort throughout the day. The steep tin roof and large overhang are typical of the classic Revelstoke vernacular, designed to shed winter snowfall on all sides. To ensure sufficient light inside, we designed high ceilings, over-height windows, and a stairwell that serves to bring light into the middle of the house.
